Johan Daansen

1974-present

freelance studio musician (guitars, keyboards, music programming, choir singing), arranger, producer and composer.

In these capacities, he has contributed to the recordings of an estimated 14,000 music titles (according to the GVL archives in Berlin), including many internationally successful titles, television soundtracks, radio plays, and music videos. He has worked in almost all major German recording studios, as well as in studios in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, Ireland, Hungary, England, and the USA (Los Angeles).

1982-1986

Member of the Peter Maffay Band, extensive concert activity with about 100 concerts in

Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

1998-2004

Operating our own recording studio near Cologne.

2003-2004

Guest musician of the Scorpions, extensive concert tours in almost all Asian countries as well as throughout Europe.

2008-2011

Musical director of the Helene Fischer Band, extensive concert activity with around 110 concerts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.

During his career and in the context of pop productions, he has worked as a producer and arranger with orchestras such as members of the HR Radio Orchestra, the BR Radio Orchestra, the Budapest Studio Orchestra and the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra.
